What is ICT ! Why We need ICT in our Life

Information is right for everyone. Everyday new combinations of information is being precessed. Therefore it causes vast increase in information, as well as need for information, is increasing rapidly with speed, right information at right place.

IT: The section of technology related to collecting information, verification, storing, processing, updating, transmission, distribution and management of information is called Information Technology (IT).

CT: The branch of technology related to data communication between the computer or any other digital device is called Communication Technology.

ICT: The sum of IT and CT make ICT(Information and Communication Technology) which is often called by IT. As we need information within a right time in a right place, IT and CT is combined.

Types of ICT: ICT is divided into many parts as its own. With respect to the application area, ICT is divided into four different sectors.
a. Computing and information system: All the devices related to computing, data processing, artificial intelligence and expert system etc. are bounded to this sector.

b. Broadcasting: Radio and Television are the devices which is used to broadcast information to mass population in one direction.

c. Telecommunication: All the telephony system that are bi-directional are included in this section. Our mobile phones, Tabs are also included in telecommunication.

d. Internet: Internet is a combined network of different telecommunication over the world. We can communicate each another from any place at any time.
